About Salamanca
Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning medieval city known best for its shimmering sandstone buildings and its prestigious university, one of the oldest in the world. Today, it continues to be a hub of education with a youthful and open atmosphere, as it welcomes thousands of international students from around the globe.
The facilities for our summer program in Salamanca are located within the city's age-old walls. Found in the historic center, surrounded by cultural points of interest and with the whole city accessible by foot, the Colegio Calasanz boasts an unbeatable location that our campers love.
Camp Facilities
The building, which boasts Salamanca's characteristic architectural style, is built in the shape of a U around a tranquil courtyard. On the other side of the courtyard, which is a typical cloister, is the beautiful 16th-century Las Bernardas church. Facilities include classrooms, dining room, gym, game rooms, video / TV rooms, conference room, infirmary and more. Behind the church there is an athletic complex including: football / soccer field, handball, basketball, volleyball, in-line skating rink and frontón (Basque handball court), and students will have access to a nearby swim club.
Students in the residence will stay in single or double dorm room swith beds, study desks, a wardrobe and shelves. Each room has a washstand and there are shared showers / bathrooms throughout the residential zone's two floors.
