Permission to Leave Camp Grounds
At Spanish in the World, we understand that many of our camp participants - particularly the older ones - are accustomed to a certain level of freedom at home and want to be able to meet up with friends and go outside of the camp grounds in an unescorted fashion.
That's why our summer program directors allow three unsupervised trips (four in Marbella Albergue) per two-week session. This is available at all summer camps except Marbella Alemán. In order to enjoy this option, students must:
- have been born during or prior to the year established each year by Spanish in the World
- have a consent form signed by parents and sent in prior to the beginning of the program
The director of each summer program will establish the days and hours available for students to go off campus. Students without permission, whether due to age or to lack of a signed consent form, will not be allowed under any circumstances to leave camp grounds without supervision. They will participate in the normal camp schedule.
