Spain Travel Guide
Spain has so much to offer that it's difficult to know where to begin! A country with a profound history dating back to prehistoric cavemen, Spain is rife with fascinating cities, impressive historical monuments, rich cultures that differ from region to region and cutting-edge cuisine, art and architecture.
Spain is largely famous for its beautiful beaches, fantastic weather, bullfights and flamenco music and dance, just to name a few. Many prodigies of art and literature were natives here, such as Cervantes, Goya, El Greco, Picasso and Dalí. The works of these aforementioned artists and other European masterpieces are housed in a number of world-class museums and galleries from big cities to small towns, but art can also be found on the streets in architecture raging from Roman aqueducts to Islamic palaces and Gothic cathedrals.
What many people don't realize about Spain is its immense geographical and cultural diversity. From the rolling hills and bagpipes of the north to the hot Andalusian sun, the beaches of the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees mountains, Spain encompasses different climates, cultures and even languages. Spain is divided into 17 autonomous communities and 50 provinces, and every region and city has something different to offer.
